You can opt your payroll companies in or out of the Employee verification connector process. The Employee Verification Connector Management Dashboard is enabled by default for Payroll Administrators.
If you choose to opt out an employer, the data is deleted from the platform and the online verification cannot be used.
If an employer chooses to opt a company from Experian and Equifax, during an application process the employee is required to provide their data to the financial service provider using other methods.
To opt your payroll companies in or out of the Employee Verification Connector:

Go to Payroll > Maintenance > Application Data.

Open Employee Verification Connector Management Dashboard.

Select Edit next to the company you want to remove from the process.

On the pop-up select Opt-out to remove the company from the Employee Verification Connector process.

Select Save.

Yes. Employees need to provide consent for each financial application submitted. This ensures they have full control over who receives their data.

This approach removes the administration burden on the employer side. There is little risk involved because the employee is in total control as they must give explicit consent during the online application before the verification process can start. Additionally, the employer is in full control of the data and can Opt Out of the service within the payroll product.

During the application process, the employee can decline online verification and the information application will be verified manually outside of the Experian and Equifax service.
Under the GDPR right to ‘Restrict’ or right to ‘Delete/Erasure’, an employee can request the employer not to share their data with Experian and Equifax. Where the employee instructs the employer not to send their data to the IRIS Employee Verification service, the data is never captured from payroll and any previous data held in the data store is removed.

The employee provides their data to the financial service provider using other methods.

There is no charge for this service. Nothing. The functionality comes as standard to help improve your employee’s financial well being.

The service is part of our standard product. There is no sign-up process needed. Customers are opted in by default with an option to opt-out.
