Training tab

The training tab allows you to record different statuses of training and qualifications for example:

  • Training needs

  • Training booked onto and completed

  • Skills

  • Qualification

Training Manager

Allows you to:

  • Set up training courses

  • Add providers, locations and documents

  • Schedule the courses for specific dates

  • Manage delegates

Employees can request to attend any published course and join a waiting list if the course is full to capacity.

Line managers can submit multiple requests by using the Employee Selector and Manager View options. You can set-up the authorisation route as a multi-stage, i.e, Line Manager > Training Administrator.

From Advanced, select View only for employee.

This is subject to what features you allow employees to access via the Training tab. If you want employees to take responsibility for their own learning, including adding their records and upholding documents, ensure to give them the appropriate access to allow them to do this.

Select View, Modify Create and Delete.

Training – Homepage

Employee requesting to attend a course.

From the home page, go to Training (this is different to the one accessed via an employee’s record).

A list of published courses displays. Use Type and/or Location/Division to filter your search.

Select the course to find out more information about it. A pop-up displays showing you more details about the course. Choose Attend at the bottom of the pop-up to request to attend the course.

Once requested to attend, an entry with a yellow flag displays to show this is pending approval. An email also sends to the approver allowing them to accept or decline the request. They can also add a message regarding their decision if they wish.

Status colour of the flag

  • Pending - Yellow

  • Approved - Green

  • Declined - Red

  • Waiting - Blue

  • Cancelled - Black

The delegate receives an email confirming if their request has been accepted or declined.

The approval contains a VSC file (contact Support if this is not showing in your system) which you can upload into your Outlook Calendar.

The delegate can also re-request to attend course by selecting the yellow flag on the right-hand side of the entry. This cancels the first request and sends a second.

Once a delegate has been approved for the course and has received confirmation, the training displays in My Details > Training.
