Add a leave request: holiday, WFH, TOIL, compassionate - standard work pattern

This topic is for employees who work a standard work pattern (a typical Monday to Friday schedule with fixed hours). If you work a non-standard work pattern, refer to Add a leave request - non-standard work pattern.

  1. From Home, select Request Leave.

    • Alternatively, in the left navigation menu of your home screen, select My Details > Absence > Request.

    The Request screen will open.

  2. Complete the holiday details using this table as a guide:

    Field Description
    Date From (Mandatory) Enter the start date of the holiday.
    Date To (Mandatory) Enter the end date of the holiday.
    Absence Type (Mandatory) Select the absence type (for example, Holiday) from the dropdown.
    Absence Reason (Mandatory) Select the absence reason (for example, Authorised Leave) from the dropdown.
    Comments (optional) Enter additional information about the holiday request.
    Include Saturday (optional) Select this if you usually work on Saturdays and the holiday includes a Saturday.
    Include Sunday (optional) Select this if you usually work on Sundays and the holiday includes a Sunday.
    Half Day Start (optional) Select this if you are booking the morning as a half-day holiday.
    Half Day End (optional) Select this if you are booking the afternoon as a half-day holiday.
    Approver (pre-populated) The name of the person who needs to approve the request (typically your line manager) displays.
    Send To (pre-populated)
    The email address of the person who needs to approve the holiday request (usually your line manager) displays.

     

  3. Select Send to send your request to your approver.

    A confirmation message will appear.

  4. Your request will display as Pending on your homepage and in the Absence tab.

  5. You will receive an email notification when your request is approved or declined.
