Accessibility Statement for Staffology Payroll
This accessibility statement applies to Staffology Payroll web application. It does not directly apply to the original versions of any products featured in Staffology Payroll, the Staffology Payroll website or any other product or website.
For information about supported web browsers and screen readers, visit the page.
Accessibility characteristics
The application has good colour contrasts and reasonable support for browser zoom. There are no images of text and almost all content and instructions are in plain text. The visual layout is responsive, but the best experience is likely to be while using a desktop browser.
Keyboard and screen reader users may find it difficult to use the application, because keyboard support is limited and page regions, headings and form controls are often not properly identified to assistive technology.
Using a keyboard
-
The main header menu is not easily usable with a keyboard.
-
Tab order is often different to the visible order of focusable elements.
-
Some elements can't be keyboard focussed.
-
There are occasional keyboard traps in menus and modals.
Page regions, headings, and element types
-
Page regions and landmarks are not properly identified to screen readers.
-
Form labels and inputs are not always linked together; this could make it difficult for some users to enter correct information.
-
Headings are not always identified or do not always follow a normal order (h1, h2, h3 etc).
Images and charts
-
The application does not contain images and charts.
Colours
-
Most colours for text and backgrounds have high contrast, with occasional exceptions on some icons.
-
There are no application settings to change the colour theme (dark theme, high contrast etc).
-
Device dark mode is not supported.
Text styling
-
You cannot use your browser's accessibility settings to increase or decrease the font size.
-
User agent stylesheets may not be able to change character spacing or line spacing (success depends on how you have things set up).
Language and messages
-
The application uses British English only.
-
Error messages are not always clearly associated with form controls.
Animations and timing
-
There is a small amount of animation when hovering or focussing on buttons or links.
-
Animations cannot be disabled.
-
Your login session will expire and you will be logged out after a period of inactivity; there is no warning.
Audio, video and external documents
-
There is no video or audio within the application.
-
Downloadable PDFs, created by the system, are not accessible.
Browser zoom and responsiveness
-
Zooming up to 200% using your browser's zoom functions partially works; some tables require horizontal scrolling, the main header may become difficult to use.
-
Staffology Payroll is optimised for use on a desktop computer; it is not recommended to use on a mobile device.
Standards and regulations
