Change a Work Pattern

You can change a blank Work Pattern to either an Hours Based or Days Based Work Pattern, but you cannot change an Hours Based Work Pattern to a Days Based Work Pattern or vice versa. If you attempt to change this, an error occurs.

To change between an Hours Based Work Pattern and a Days Based Work Pattern or vice versa, follow these instructions:

  1. Create a Work Pattern in the correct format (opposite of the current Work Pattern, but with the same working days/hours as the current Work Pattern).

  1. On the employee's Contract tab, change the Holiday Entitlement to the correct format.

  2. Delete and recreate all absence When an employee or worker is absent from work.   3. Create a Work Pattern in the correct format with the current working days/hours. Change the Work Pattern to match this.

  4. Recreate any absences set after the date of the Work Pattern change.

The system may error if, in Lookup Tables, you attempt to modify a Work Pattern between Fixed and Non-Fixed, if the Work Pattern is currently in use.

To make this change, on an employee's Contract tab (including leavers), remove the Work Pattern.
