Updating Benefits with Data Update

The Data Update tool allows you to mass update active Benefit records.

This is useful if there is a change to the current Benefit, which does not need closing and a new record creating for historical purposes.

  1. Go to System Tools > Utilities > Data > Update.

    The Data Update Tool opens.

  1. Select the records that need updating.

    For example, all Private Medical Insurance benefits with the provider BUPA which did not start on the 1st of April 2023.

    The steps for this would be:

    • Provider equal to BUPA.

    • Add Row (this can be used to create several rows of criteria).

    • Date From not equal to 01/04/2023.

As shown in this screenshot, the system found 25 records matching the above criteria.

If there was more than 50 records, the system does not allow you to continue. Use the Employee Selector or add more criteria to continue.

  1. After choosing your filters, select an option from Field and update the Value.

  2. Select Save.
