Moving candidates through the recruitment process

A Recruit user's ability to move candidates through the recruitment process depends on their access level.

Role Access Level - what users can do
Candidate Reviewers
  • Review candidates.

  • If configured, suggest the next stage in the recruitment process for candidates.

  • Add notes.

Hiring Managers
  • Review candidates.
  • Suggest the next stage in the recruitment process for candidates.
  • Add notes.
Recruitment Manager Move candidates to the next stage in the recruitment process (for example, Interview or Regret), or decide not to move candidates to further stages.

Suggest the next stage for a candidate (hiring managers or candidate reviewers)

  1. Select the vacancy and choose the candidate from the list.

  2. On General> Suggested Stage, select the appropriate stage from the list.

  3. If required, enter additional information in Notes.

  4. Select Send to email your suggestion to the recruitment manager.

  5. Select OK to close the message.

Move a candidate to the next stage or a suggested stage (recruitment managers only)

  1. Select the candidate in the list.

  2. Select the cog icon at the top of the screen. A list of possible stages displays to the left of the General tab.

  3. To move the candidate, choose the required stage.

Alternatively, select a group of candidates and choose the appropriate stage from the list in the navigation menu.

Move a candidate to a different vacancy

  1. Select the candidate from the list.

  2. Choose Actions > Move Candidate.

  3. Select the new vacancy from the list.

  4. Choose Close.

Delete a candidate

Deleting a candidate removes all their recruitment records from the system.

Add a new candidate

Select New Candidate under the candidate list, complete the details on each tab and Save.
