Delete expired Assignments

Once the Contract End Date passes, Assignments are considered expired. If required, you can manually unassign a Position.

Otherwise, expired assignments automatically move into the Assignments History area on the Assignments tab.

Delete an expired Assignment

To manually delete an expired Assignment:

  • Go to Assignments >Assignments History, select the Assignment and choose Delete.

Employee and Position Management admin

Both the employee and the position management admin receive an email:

  • 7 days before the Assignment end date.

  • When an Assignment expires due to reaching its end date.

Employee

Employees receive an email 7 days before their Assignment is due to start.

Position Management admin

The position management admin receives an email:

  • When an employee's Assignment is due to expire and again when the Assignment expires.

  • When an employee is the Primary Position of an Assignment due to expire:

    • The email specifies the employee's next Primary Position.

  • When an employee is the Primary Incumbent of an Assignment due to expire:

    • The email specifies the employee who is to become the next Primary Incumbent.

      This is usually the next person chronologically in the Assignment record.

  • When an employee is the Primary Incumbent and Line Manager of a position.

    • The email specifies the employee who is to become the next Primary Incumbent and Line Manager.

      This is usually the next person chronologically in the Assignment record.

Although the system updates the positions in an Assignment, you can amend this if the change is inaccurate.
