Update an appraisal as an employee

The fields and descriptions used in these instructions are based on reviewing a standard appraisal at the end of the year. The options on your appraisal may differ depending on your organisation's template configuration.

  1. Sign in to Staffology HR.

  2. Go to My Details > Perform.

  3. Select the required appraisal title.

  4. Check the Notes section for any guidance notes your line manager/ appraiser has added.

    You can also use the Employee section to add notes for your line manager/appraiser.

    Objectives

  5. Select Objectives to view the objectives you set with your line manager.

  6. Select Create New (disc symbol) to comment on your objective.

    For example, you may add a comment about how well you think you have performed against your objective.

    Your comment displays next to your objective with the date and time you added it.

  7. Rate your performance using the My Rating dropdown.

    In standard appraisals, 1 is the lowest score, and 5 is the highest.

    Competencies

  8. Select Competencies and add any comments.

    Comments

  9. If required, add information under the Comments section.

    You may comment on your performance throughout the last year and what you hope to achieve next year.

    Communication

  10. The Communication section allows you to send an email to your line manager.

    Documents

  11. If required, upload a document.

    For example, you may upload a document as evidence to show how you have achieved your objectives.

    Reminder Alerts

  12. Reminder Alerts lists all the alerts you have created in the year.

    Refer to Set an appraisal Reminder Alert for information on how to add an alert.

  13. At the top of the screen, change the employee status, and add any explanatory notes for your line manager or appraiser.

    Your line manager receives an email notification when you change the status to In Progress or Ready to Review.
