Employee sign-in issues
Here are a list of common sign-in issues employees may experience and what you can do to fix them.
Employee gets error: “You cannot sign in because you do not have an active account”
Cause: This happens when the employee did not finish setting up their account the first time they signed in. Their IRIS Identity profile is not linked to their HR account, so the system does not let them in.
How to fix

Send the employee a new invitation email so they can complete the set up of their account

Check that their email address is not linked to another employee’s record. If it is, the invitation will not send to them.
Employee didn’t get password reset email
Cause: The email may have gone to spam, or their email address is linked to more than one record.

Ask the employee to check their inbox and spam folder

In Staffology HR, check that their email address is only linked to their record

If their email address is linked to another account, update their record with a unique address. Then send a new invitation email
Employee lost access to Okta Verify / Google Authenticator
Admins cannot reset multi-factor authentication (MFA) for employees.
How to fix it
